"There will be many who will tell you that can not be done": Sheryl Sandberg said some great things to MIT students.
A few days ago, Sheryl Sandberg spoke at this year's graduation ceremony at MIT. And she had a few important things to tell the young people who were in the audience. She said in principle the trait that all businessmen must have: They have to have an optimistic look.
"We are optimistic because we have to be," she said.
And she explained: "If you want to do something that has never been done before, too many people will tell you that it can not be done." Anyone who wants to succeed, however, must insist. She admitted that in entrepreneurship and especially in the technological field, there are many challenges. But what a leader has to do is fight, knowing that what he is building will be used by people to make their lives better.
At the same time, Facebook's COO stressed that there is a great deal of polarization in the world, but on the other hand, progress is being made. From the rise in global life expectancy, to the reduction of extreme poverty, "we have made more progress in our lives than we have done in the rest of human history."
