Did you connect to Facebook from a foreign computer and left it open? See how to log out remotely

It is not uncommon to login to Facebook from a third party computer and leave without logout. Even the most careless, they even agree to storing their password in the browser or to "stay connected" when logging in. This means that anyone with access to this computer can also access your private messages (via Messenger), and of course in what has not been posted as public but addressed to limited groups of friends or individuals. However, do not panic. There is a way to logout remotely.

Once you have logged in from your computer to Facebook, go to Settings (you'll find the relevant option in the top of the service's bar at the top of the page, below the arrow).
Then, select Security from the list in the left menu.
Look for the Where To Signup section.

Inspect active links and end the activity on the unwanted ones. You will see an estimate of the location of the system from which the connection was made (based on the IP address of the machine) which may prove vague ("Athens"). However, there are other things to indicate where the connection was made, since you can see the date, time, browser and version of the operating system and the device used to access your account.

Note that when you end a connection to a third device, the user of this device when attempting to view your account will be informed that the session has ended and will be asked to give at least your password.

After that, you can ask to receive a notification when anyone joins your account from an unidentified device or browser. Choose Security, E-mail and / or mobile sign-in notifications.
